Susanne Porter-Bopp joined POLIS in August 2006 after completing a Master of Environmental Studies degree at York University, where her reseach focused on national parks and colonialism. Susanne has co-ordinated several community food security projects, and is actively involved in community radio and other local media. She likes to ride her bicycle everywhere. Her work with the Water Sustainability Project focuses on best practices of watershed governance and on water sustainability planning at the community level. Susanne is also developing a new Water and Food research programme that seeks to inform the development of innovative institutional arrangements and decision-support tools for the agricultural sector in Canada that can support the establishment of integrated and ecosystem-based management at the watershed level.
