Jesse Baltutis, BSocSc(H), MSc

Jesse Baltutis joined the POLIS Water Sustainability Project in November 2011, bringing with him several years of experience in international development and policy research. In 2009, he completed his Master of Science in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where his research focused on fairness and equity in transboundary water management in the Jordan River basin. Before coming to POLIS, Jesse worked with the United Nations Environment Programme in Kenya, Friends of the Earth Middle East in Palestine, and, most recently, with Innovolve in Toronto, Canada. His work with POLIS focuses on policy development and stakeholder engagement in the Water Act Modernization process in British Columbia, network development and issue identification on water-energy nexus issues, as well as supporting and developing POLIS’ water soft path projects and volunteer coordination.
